We are facing issue in Symantec backup Exec.
Backup Server: Win Server 2008 R2 64bit.
Ensure that all media in the family have been inventoried and cataloged.I clicked on start all services but it also got stucked on message "starting backup exec service" for a very very long time ( waited for almost 3-4 Hours). My backup server is showing this event.I have seen one forum which says to install a HotFix 139875_ENU_ia64_zip but it seems its only for win pokemon games to on 3ds server 2003.There is one active job which is failing everyday. Then I rebooted the server and after rebooting I checked that backup exec services were stopped. There are system events related to backup exec services getting generated continuously in event logs, here are they : Open in new window, open in new window, what can be done in order to trouble shoot this issue.
DAG: Yes (but recently installed backup jobs were failing before that as well when we were running single mailbox server).
Server OS: Microsoft Windows Server Standard FE SP2 (SBS 2008).
